In this third week of Advent, we focus our attention on Love.
One of the 12 innate powers or faculties, or accelerated abilities, identified by Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore, is Love. In the Revealing word, Fillmore says, "Of all the attributes of God, Love is undoubtedly the most beautiful".
In Divine Mind, "Love is the power that joins and binds in divine harmony the universe and everything in it, the great harmonizing principle known to man."
In Use the Truth You Know, Unity's Principles and Premises, Paul Hasselbeck writes in the section "How to use the Principle of Love- "In the outer physical realm beyond the body- We use the Power of Love to have the feeling emotion of love for other people. We can us it to harmonize our relations and life. We can use it desire a whole range of things-some good, some not so good for us."
Grace could be seen as a component of Love, fueled by the principles of Benevolence and Generosity. We give grace from a benevolent, generous heart, from love when we offer gifts of kindness and forgiveness.
What happens when we receive Grace? What does it do to your heart? Your mood?
Consider how Grace has shown up for you lately. The Christmas season seems to heighten our awareness of kindness, the little graces. What might 2026 look like if we each developed a habit of giving Grace?
Join me Sunday and we'll take a closer look at "Love as Grace."
Love and blessings to all,
Vivian W.
